Automated Root Cause Systems

History has a tendency to repeat itsself. A big problem we have is addressing actions, not addressing situations.

As an example, legislators can't catch up with people using technology to do evil things because they don't understand technology enough to know what evil things people can do with it. But the bigger problem is that using technology to do something evil isn't illegal.

Abusive actions are illegal. But abuse is not. It's a never ending race to make actions illegal without adressing the root cause.

But you can do this with other things to, like how I discussed in my article of the intellectualization of respect. How to do politics without having a political opinion kinda fits here too. As a society we need to sit down and thing about these root causes in every major aspect of life.

An example would be, instead of designating protected groups- ex. gender, race, ability, etc. you instead protect anyone that could fit in that category. It's important as more immigrants come to the US and we begin to deal with other cultures discrimination, such as by caste.

Oppressed Minorities

Oppressed Majorities (ex. women, working class)

Oppressive Minorities (ex. rich people are a minority, but not protected)

Oppressive Majorities (ex. men, white people, without the context of class)

Empowered Minorities

Empowered Majorities

(These two are a vision for the future where people are not oppressed-existing groups no longer experience discrimination, and new minorites that are discovered or developed are celebrated.)
