As the United States turns into a dystopian oligarchy, propogandists make calls to save the economy. But what would an economy worth saving look like?
Employee rights are protected.
Employees are fairly compensated for their work.
The minimum wage is the living wage.
Everyone who wants to work can work.
No one is prevented from working because of a lack of access to technology or transportation.
No one is prevented from working, accepting promotions, or building wealth because of social services restrictions.
No one is prevented from working because of childcare or caregiving.
No one is prevented from working because of a lack of accommodations for disabilities or inability to get treatment for health issues.
No one is prevented from working because of domestic violence or repeated traumatic life events. Trauma is prevented.
No one is underemployed, unless it's their choice.
No one is prevented from starting a business because of permitting or filing fees.
No one is prevented from starting a business because taxes, laws, or permits are too complicated or difficult to understand.
Businesses are functional and efficient.
Employees that work hard and go above and beyond are rewarded.
Narcissism and workaholism are removed from the workplace.
